Prayers From Maria Charity Ride
Date: Sunday, April 28
Time: Noon – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $120 per ticket
Details: This charity event provides the first public opportunity to ride Top Thrill 2. Your ticket includes multiple rides, complimentary food and beverages, and a special gift. All proceeds benefit the Prayers From Maria charity.
Tickets: Available for purchase on Wednesday, April 3.
Cedar Point Prestige Passholder Preview
Date: Sunday, April 28
Time: 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Cost: Free (Prestige Pass and reservation required)
Details: Prestige Passholders can enjoy a ride on Top Thrill 2, along with other attractions. Exclusive merchandise and food options will be available.

📰Violent Fugitive Apprehended Amid Multi-Agency Manhunt in Northern Ohio
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force successfully apprehended 23-year-old Naytez Wright, a fugitive involved in a series of thefts across multiple jurisdictions. Wright, who was increasingly considered dangerous due to the use of a firearm in his recent crimes, was located hiding under insulation in an attic on Dove Avenue in Cleveland.

Presenter: Mel Hauser from Good Nature Organic Lawn Care.

Details: Attendees will learn practical tips for caring for lawns and landscapes organically, without harmful chemicals and pesticides.
Additional Note: Participants have a chance to win the book “A Beautiful Lawn Organically” by Alec McClennan.
Garden Wake-Up Class by Lake County Master Gardeners:
Presenter: Lake County Master Gardeners.
Date and Time: April 6 at 10 a.m.
Details: This class offers guidance on garden cleanup, composting, pruning, fertilizing, soil testing, and pest control to prepare gardens for spring.
Winter-Sowing Technique Demonstration:
Presenter: A Lake County Master Gardener.

⚾Mentor Cardinals Soar to Victory on New Turf in Season Opener
The Mentor Cardinals inaugurated their 2024 baseball season and their brand-new all-turf field with a spirited victory against the Riverside Beavers, 10-5.
Nick Square led the offensive charge, contributing significantly with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate, driving in three runs. His efforts were well-supported by teammates Tyson Cendrowski and Jake McCartney, who were instrumental in extending Mentor's lead with crucial hits.
Despite a strong challenge from Riverside, who tightened the game in the middle innings, Mentor's consistent hitting and strategic plays turned the tide. The Cardinals' ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities, particularly in the sixth inning, made all the difference.
Looking ahead, the Cardinals are set to continue their momentum in the upcoming GCC play against Euclid, while Riverside aims to bounce back in their next game against Twinsburg.
