💥Authorities Investigate After Occupants Flee Scene of Kia Crash in Mentor-on-the-Lake

The Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department is actively investigating an incident where a Kia, reported stolen from Windsor Place Apartments, was involved in an early morning crash. The accident occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Reynolds Road, where the vehicle collided with a tree. Following the crash, the car's occupants escaped on foot.

In an effort to gather more information, the police are reaching out to residents in the vicinity with exterior security cameras. They are requesting anyone with potential footage from the time of the crash to come forward. The police are urging individuals with any relevant information or footage to contact the department at 440-257-7234 or via email at [email protected].

📰 WWII Hero Bob Zonneville to Share Battlefield Experiences

Scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on April 1 at the Mentor Public Library's Main Branch located at 8215 Mentor Ave, this engaging session promises to be an enlightening experience. Zonneville, a decorated veteran with two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star, will recount his harrowing experiences in the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest and the liberation of a concentration camp.

Joining him will be John Foster of the library and local author/historian Tom Matowitz. Together, they will explore the battle's history and the contributions of Mentor residents who served in the war. Attendance is free, but space is limited, necessitating prior registration.
