🏀 Cardinals Outshine Bulldogs 83-70, Move Forward to District Championship

Last nights boys basketball game between Mentor and Green was a thriller. The Mentor Cardinals, who emerged victorious over the Green Bulldogs with a final score of 83 to 70. Key players from Mentor, Ian Ioppolo, Ryan Calo, and Matthew Biddell, scored 27, 25, and 23 points respectively, leading the charge for the Cardinals. On the other side, the Green Bulldogs saw significant contributions from Jarrett Taylor, Anthony Fortunato, and Brady Rollyson, with Taylor leading his team with 21 points.

The game started off closely, with both teams tied at 16 after the first quarter. However, Mentor's consistent performance, particularly Matthew Biddell's notable contributions in scoring and assists, propelled them to take the lead and maintain it through the game. The victory propels Mentor into the district final, which is scheduled to be held at Euclid on Saturday at 2 pm, where they will face the winner of the game between Dover and Jackson.
