Voted #1 Pizza in Mentor for 2024!

In the heart of Mentor, a town known for its tight-knit community, Gionino's Pizzeria stands out as a beacon of culinary excellence, recently crowned with the prestigious title of Best of Mentor 2024 "Best Pizza." This accolade is a testament to the pizzeria's unwavering commitment to quality, tradition, and the simple joy of sharing a great meal.

Gionino's story is one of passion, perseverance, and the American dream realized. Over 30 years ago, brothers Sam and Chuck Owen embarked on a culinary adventure with a simple yet ambitious dream: to offer their hometown the kind of pizza that stirs the soul. From its modest beginnings in Tallmadge, Ohio, Gionino's has burgeoned into a beloved franchise, boasting over 50 locations that serve as communal hubs across Ohio.

What sets Gionino's apart in the fiercely competitive world of pizza? It's not just a business; it's a legacy of old-world flavors, meticulously crafted recipes, and an unwavering commitment to freshness. Unlike the ubiquitous "cookie cutter" offerings that populate the pizza industry, Gionino's stands as a bastion of uniqueness. Each ingredient is chosen with care, ensuring that every bite tells a story of tradition and quality.

As Gionino's continues to grow and share their hometown pizza favorites with more communities, they remain anchored by the values that started it all: quality, authenticity, and a genuine love for bringing people together over great food. In our backyard of Mentor … and beyond.

🏀 Mentor Cardinals Soar to Victory Over East Tech Despite Injury Hurdles

In a week marked by challenges and injuries, the Mentor basketball team demonstrated resilience and depth. Facing the absence of key players due to injuries, including starters Junior Kobe Frasure-Azzano and Senior Makel Harrison, Mentor encountered setbacks with two losses on the road within their conference. However, they bounced back impressively in their recent game against East Tech, utilizing the depth of their roster to secure an 85-47 victory. This win not only halted a two-game losing streak but also continued their strong home game performance, a streak unbroken since early 2023.

Thirteen of Mentor’s 15 players scored as Mentor utilized their entire roster effectively, maintaining their impressive home game record. The win highlighted the team's ability to adapt and perform, with significant contributions from younger players.
