This year's competition was a significant event, with over fifty judges from different North American wine regions evaluating a staggering 5,500 wines from nearly 1,000 wineries.

Beat the heat this summer at our Cool Blades Ice-Skating Camp for children aged 5-12! This unique camp is perfect for young skaters of all levels, from beginners to those more advanced. We provide personalized instruction and ample practice time, ensuring each child progresses in their skating skills.

🏫 Historical Insights: The Role of Lake County in the Underground Railroad
Join us for an enlightening talk on the vital role of our region in the Underground Railroad. This event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Lake Branch.
Our area, including Lake and neighboring counties, played a significant part in this historic network, providing safe havens for escaped slaves on their journey to Canada. Tonya Busic, representing the Lake County History Center, will delve into the local stories of the Underground Railroad. She will introduce attendees to the key individuals involved and explore the laws that shaped this critical period in history.
This talk is open to the public and free of charge. However, as space is limited, we require prior registration. Interested individuals can sign up online or reach out to us at 440-257-2512 to secure their spot. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about a pivotal chapter in our region's history.

In an exhilarating Friday night showdown, Mentor Lake Catholic emerged victorious against Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit, clinching a tight win with a score of 46-44. The game's star, Ace Peterlin, shone brightly, leading the scoring with an impressive 18 points. Riding the wave of this triumph, the team set their sights on their next challenge: a Saturday night face-off against Cleveland's VASJ. The rallying cry for fans and players alike was clear and spirited: Go Cougars!

Late Saturday Night, the Cougars dropped a close one to VASJ by a score of 81-78. The game was very close with Lake Catholic leading at the half by just 1 point. However VASJ managed to pull this one out down the stretch. Go Cougars!

Mentor Christian decisively defeated Elyria First Baptist Christian with a dominant 67-41 victory in Ohio boys high school basketball. The game, held on January 26, showcased Mentor Christian's control throughout the match.
