🛟 Coast Guard and Local Heroes Save 20 from Icy Peril on Lake Erie

In a harrowing incident on Lake Erie in Ohio, twenty individuals were left stranded on an ice floe near Catawba Island State Park, a location famed for its recreational water activities. Fortunately, all members of the group were rescued or managed to reach the shore safely. The U.S. Coast Guard, along with local first responders, played a crucial role in the rescue operation. Nine people were brought to shore by Coast Guard rescuers, while local responders assisted four others. The remaining seven managed to reach the shoreline independently.

Remarkably, no injuries were reported in this incident. The exact details of how the group ended up stranded and how some of them reached the shore on their own were not immediately clear, with further information expected from the Coast Guard.
